Hello... it's been a while.

::knock knock::

It’s been a minute. And I’m sorry that I’ve been gone so long.

Life got really real. I’m grateful for where I am currently, but looking to the future for, growth or a synonym of it.

I wanted to start afresh, have a place where I could share thoughts without the feeling to be monetized or needing to push things for money, or needing to stay away from certain topics. I’m not sure what this will be, but I’m practicing communicating. Writing is a form of communication, and I’d like to get better at all forms of communication, so here we are.

While away for the past… 6 years (wow) I have lost a mother, released two musical projects, moved to two different cities, changed full time jobs 3 times and hopefully grown as a person in the midst of it all.

I have two things that I’d like to write about, but I think I should say hello. I’ve still got short hair, I still sing, I still think, I’ve been reading more, thinking about getting a phd still, thinking about starting a salon series that I and a friend hosted in NY here in Maryland. I wanted to film a variety show this summer - that didn’t happen. I did take one of the training courses for it though. I had a few performances in June and July and August, though just starting hasn’t been without its stressors, but I’m glad to have slowed down a bunch.

In order not to overwhelm, I’m going to leave it here with a save the date - Myself and Jan Knutson will be performing at Art All Night in Glover Park on 9/11 at 7pm - location to come. Save the date and plan on joining us!
